UNL joins Lincoln/Lancaster County Emergency Management in
testing all tornado-warning systems on the first Wednesday of
each month at approximately 10:15 a.m. The next test is

 2. December 2005 Graduation Application Deadline is Sept. 23

The deadline to apply for a degree to be received in December
2005 is Friday, Sept. 23. A $25 non-refundable fee must
accompany the Application For Degree form. Applications are to

12. Omaha Airport Rental Rate Special

Transportation Services has available a limited number of sedans
with a special rental rate through February 2006 for discounted
travel to the Omaha airport. The special rate is a flat $46
charge which includes 145 miles and up to 15 days usage. If
vehicle travel is more than 145 miles, or the vehicle is used
for travel other than to/from the Omaha airport, the department
will be charged the standard Intermediate Sedan rate ($15 day +
$.21 mile).

13. Enterprise Rent-A-Car Airport Rate

Transportation Services now offers Enterprise Rent-A-Car one-way
rentals to the Omaha airport. Rates are $32 to $36 per day
(depending on vehicle class), plus fuel, and includes 60 miles
per day. Vehicles are returned adjacent to the airport, all
airport drop fees are waived, and shuttle service is provided to
the Eppley departure drop-off location. All travel exceeding 0
miles per day is charged at $.20 per mile plus fuel. For more

This week NET Television's "Statewide" embeds with Nebraska Army
National Guard soldiers training for war at the Army's National
Training Center. Located in the Mojave Desert, the NTC gives

soldiers on training missions into mock Iraqi villages to show
