 1. Degree Application Deadline is June 23

Friday, June 23, is the deadline for applying for a degree to be received
on Aug. 12. A $25 non-refundable fee must accompany the Application for
Degree form. Applications are to be filed at the Graduation Services
Office, 109 Canfield Administration Building.

 2. Employee and Dependent Scholarship Program New Allocation Site

The Employee and Dependent Scholarship Program allocation site has been
moved to the Employee Self Service (ESS) site (listed below). Employees
will no longer use their social security number but instead use their
ESS id and password to access the system. A link is available on ESS
site for assistance in navigating through the system. For further
assistance, contact Beth Benson at bbenson2@unl.edu or 472-2100.

 3. NSave Backup/Restore Service

Do you have a backup program in place to backup your important data
files? If your computer had a hard drive crash or virus would you be
able to recover your data? Information Services offers a backup/restore
service called NSave for a small monthly fee. The software is installed
on the desktop and the backup/restores are done over a network connection.

 4. Antelope Valley Project tours in June

A tremendous amount of progress has been made on the Antelope Valley
project along the east side of campus. Public bus tours are scheduled
for 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. June 10 departing from Lincoln High School. A
bike tour is scheduled that same day for 8 a.m., also departing from
Lincoln High School. On June 15 bus and bike tours are scheduled to begin
at 6 p.m. departing from Lincoln High School. RSVP your attendance to

 5. Kids Invent Toys Camp Sparks Creativity

At this innovative day camp, kids are challenged to invent a toy,
conduct experiments, develop a business plan, display at a Toy Fair
and more. Held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the UNL campus, camps are:
July 31-Aug. 4 (grades 3-5); Aug. 7-11 (grades 6-8). The $195 fee

Join the Office of Registration and Records in recognizing Rodney Moore,
assistant director, on his retirement from the University of Nebraska. A
