16. James A. Rawley Graduate Conference in the Humanities

The History Graduate Students' Association will present the James
A. Rawley Graduate Conference in the Humanities on April 7 and 8.
The keynote address of the conference is Dr. Stephanie M. H. Camp,
associate professor of history at the University of Washington.
She will present "Slavery, Space, and Gender in the American
South," at 7 p.m. Friday, April 7, in the Nebraska Union Auditorium.
Paper presentations will occur all day beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday,
April 8, in CBA. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. The papers represent
a variety of disciplines from architecture and philosophy to human
rights and history. Presenters include graduate students from

The African Student Association at UNL will present its
traditional African night called FESTAC from 7 to 10 p.m.

Opening Friday, March 31. *Boys of Baraka: An engrossing account of a
year spent at a Kenyan boarding school by 11- and 12-year-old boys

* Manderlay: Following 2003's Dogville, Manderlay is the second in
director Lars von Trier's trilogy "USA: Land of Opportunities." The
