Husker Kids is a recreational day camp for children entering 2nd to
6th grade. Husker Adventures day camp is designed for youth in middle
school (entering 7th or 8th grade). Both camps are opportunities for

The Lincoln Chapter of Credit Unions is sponsoring a scholarship
contest for credit union members who are are high school seniors
and college or trade school students who will be either full or
part-time students for the academic year 2006/2007. Contestants

democratic structure benefits me as a member." Entries must be

11. Safe Assignment Plagiarism Detection Software trial continues

The trial of the Safe Assignment plagiarism software will continue
through the spring 2006 semester. The system will be available through
Blackboard from March 20 to May 5. The system will not be available in
Summer 2006. A decision about whether or not to license this software
will be made this summer. Comments about the usefulnewss of the software

Extended Education and Outreach will host an open house
for Susan Nichols from 2 to 4 p.m. March 10 at 900 N. 22nd
St, in honor of her many years of service. Nichols, an office
supervisor in Extended Education, is retiring after 28 years
with the Unviersity.

15. Status of Women Awards reception/ceremony March 8

Chancellor Harvey Perlman will present the annual awards
for Outstanding Contribution to the Status of Women at 3:30 p.m. 
Wednesday, March 8 in the Nebraska Union. Award recipients this
year are the UNL Police Department and Tabethah Mack, a doctoral
student in Educational Psychology. The University Chorale,
directed by Rhonda Fuelberth, will perform. Everyone is welcome

16. BIT Mobile Open House March 10

An open house to view UNL Extension's BIT Mobile will be held
from 10 a.m. to noon March 10 in front of Agricultural Hall on
East Campus. The BIT Mobile is a 29-by-9-foot trailer that will
be used as a traveling classroom for business and information
technology classes.

17. Army ROTC Open House March 9

The Army ROTC of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is having
an Open House from noon to 3:30 p.m. March 9 in the Pershing
Military and Naval Science building at the corner of 14th and

training weapons, get free dog tags made, see the equipment
and many activities that Army ROTC cadets participate in.

Agrononmy and Horticulture, will present a two-day workshop, "Crop
Genetic Engineering," March 14-15 in Room 275 Plant Science Bldg. on

"Color Me Dark: The Story of the Great Migration North" will be
presented at 7:30 p.m. March 8 at the Lied Center. It tells the
story of two African-American girls who move with their family from
Tennessee to Chicago, only to discover that in 1920s America, racism
knows no boundaries. Based on the book by Patricia C. McKissack, this
thought-provoking performance explores the racial, cultural and
historical realities behind ethnic relations in America. This
performance is part of LiedFamFest, which includes a free party

boys' high school basketball tournament will be broadcast live
from the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Saturday, March 11, on
NET1 Channel 12. Coverage begins at 9:30 a.m. with the Class C-2,
followed by Class D-2 at 11:30 a.m.; Class A at 1:30 p.m.;
Class C-1 at 5 p.m.; Class D-1 at 7 p.m., and Class B at 9 p.m.

This week NET Television's "Statewide" talks with two Omaha
World-Herald journalists about embedding with Nebraska troops
