 5. Bedding Drive For People's City Mission

More than 1,800 people lack housing on any given night in Lincoln causing
a need for twin sheets, blankets and pillows. During the month of October,
the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union will be collecting these
items for the mission. Members and non-members are asked to drop off their
donations at either of their locations during normal business hours. If

10. Real Men, Real Depression Campaign Launched Oct. 4

The "Real Men, Real Depression" campaign will be launched Oct. 4 at UNL.
Dr. Aaron Rochlen, a researcher and counseling psychology faculty member
at the University of Texas at Austin will lead the following sessions:
*Training Session, 3 p.m., in the Nebraska Union - primarily reserved for
faculty, clinicians and graduate students.

11. National Depression Screening Day Oct. 5

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) of the University Health Center
and the Employee Assistance Program are offering education and screenings for a
range of common emotional conditions in accordance with the National Depression
Screening Day on Thursday, Oct. 5. The free, confidential screenings will be
held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Nebraska Union and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
in the East Campus Union for UNL students, faculty and staff. All UNL students
who complete the screening will be entered into a raffle for a 30-gigabyte iPod

Pick up applications for the 3rd Annual Chili Cookoff at Student
Involvement, Room 200 Nebraska Union, or Room 300 Nebraska East Union.
