 1. Annual Steam Outages

The annual steam outages (the centralized steam distribution system)
will occur on City Campus only from May 6 through May 12, East Campus
only from May 13 through May 19. The systems must be shut down to
conduct required maintenance of equipment, including replacing and
upgrading many key components of the University's utility system.
During the steam outages, there will be no heating and no process steam
available in those building systems served by campus steam. Contact

 2. EAP offers stress awareness and relief

Between national tragedy and local events, stress can begin to accumulate both
subconsciously and/or consciously. It may begin to manifest itself in our
interactions with others, our ability to concentrate and our overall enjoyment
of life. This is a good time to engage in healthy physical activity,
especially aerobic in nature, connect with friends and family, and get outside
and enjoy the outdoors. If one is still feeling the impact and can't seem to
move out from under that cloud of stress, it might be useful to visit a
therapist. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free short-term
counseling to help employees and their family members deal with a full range of
issues. With recent events the greatest impact may be in one's ability to deal
with the everyday issues that normally were stressful but until now, not
overwhelming. Contact the EAP for an appointment by calling 472-3107.

through the Podcasting tool in Blackboard. The Blackboard team will also
upgrade the Learning Objects Journals and Teams modules on May 8. Archive any
courses that may be using these tools as a precaution. Information about the
