 4. East Campus Chilled Water Outage March 13-14

An East Campus Chilled Water Outage is tentatively planned to occur March 13
and 14. These dates were selected to coincide with a low level of student
activity on the campus. The outage is necessary to perform maintenance at the
East Campus Utility Plant that is not possible during normal operations. During
this Chilled Water Outage, there will be no chilled water for equipment cooling
or air-conditioning. Building air-conditioning will continue to be provided
using cold outside air. If warm days occur during this outage, interior
building temperatures may be elevated. Contact Charlie Griesen, at 472-8612 or

outage or need accommodations during this time period.

 5. Alice Kadavy Retirement Reception March 6

The Nebraska Alumni Association will host a retirement reception for

18. Free Identity Theft Seminar

Every 79 seconds, an identity thief steals someone's identity. Join Susan
Howell, from Nebraska's Attorney General's Office, to learn about identity
theft and how to avoid the latest scams. The seminar will be held from 7 to
9 p.m. March 7 at the East Union. There will be free on-site shredding
provided by Shredding Solutions for the hour prior to the event and a free
shredder will be given away. There will also be a session offered in Omaha

19. Rural Nebraska and Immigration Forum

University of Nebraska researchers and policymakers will discuss the results
of the latest Nebraska Rural Poll on immigration from Latin America from
3:30 to 5:30 p.m. March 7 in the Great Plains Art Museum, 1155 Q St.

Water will be the focus of the 2007 Acreage Expo with sessions that
emphasize protecting and conserving groundwater as well as managing
private drinking water systems. The 2007 Acreage Expo will be held

The son of a Kenyan journalist, Salim Amin, will premiere his film "Mo and
Me" at The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center at 7 p.m. March 1. The film
immortalizes Amin's father, Mohamed, who broke story after story about the
turmoil of Africa's emergence into the 20th century. The film is open to

35. Nebraska High School Girls Basketball on NET Television

The best girls' basketball teams in Nebraska invade Lincoln to battle it
out for the state championships in six different classes with the finals
telecast live across the state from the Bob Devaney Sports Center on March 3,
on NET1 Channel 12. The "Nebraska High School Girls' Basketball Championships"
will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Class D-2 finals. The day-long coverage
continues with the Class A championship game at 11:30 a.m. and the Class C-2
title game at 1:30 p.m. The match-ups continue at 5 p.m. with the championship
game for Class B, followed at 7 p.m. by the Class D-1 final. The Class C-1
championship game concludes the day's action at 9 p.m.
