 1. Parking Lot Closures Due to Maintenance

The following list of parking lots will be closed or partially closed on
the dates specified for maintenance. Lot closing signs will be posted at
the entrance of the lot 24-48 hours before the scheduled date of maintenance.
If weather delays the project a new date will be posted on the Parking and
Transit Services website listed below.
* July 9 - East Campus Loop north 33rd-38th Streets, crack seal patch.
Partial closing, open to traffic.
* July 11 - Varner Hall, crack seal. Partial closing.
* July 16 - 17th and R Area A, R1, R, north end of the lot closed.

 2. IRB Mandatory Training (CITI)

The mandatory training in human research participant protections is required
for people who are working on projects related to human participant research.
The training is valid for three years. Many investigators have now reached their
three-year expiration date. Go to the website below to register to complete
the refresher course. If you have not completed the mandatory training, you can
go to the website to register to complete the Basic course. If you are unsure
when your training expires, contact the IRB office at 472-6965 or irb@unl.edu.

 3. Credit Union Closed For Independence Day

The University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union will be closed July 4
in honor of Independence Day. You can access your account 24-hours a

 7. Farewell Reception for Reece Summers

The Center for Great Plains Studies will host a farewell reception for
Reece Summers at 3:30 p.m. July 6 at the Great Plains Art Museum, 1155
Q St. Summers has been curator of the Great Plains Art Museum since 2001.
The Center invites the UNL community and other friends to express your
farewell to Summers, view the current exhibition, and enjoy ice cream
and cake.

 8. Spanish Food Entrepreneur Seminar

The Food Processing Center is offering a one-day seminar presented in
Spanish for all individuals interested in exploring the idea of starting a
food manufacturing business. The "From Recipe to Reality" seminar will be

* Opening Friday: Severance (July 6-19): When the multi-national weapons
company Palisade Defence rewards their European sales division with a
