On Oct. 21, Information Services will delete all Blackboard courses created
before the Fall 2004 term. To keep a copy of the content of your courses prior
to Fall 2004, you must create archives of your courses. Click the link to
download detailed information and instructions. If you have technical questions

 5. PERSUNL Free HIV Antibody Test site locations and hours

PERSUNL provides no needles, free, anonymous and confidential HIV Antibody
Testing on a walk-in basis at three locations through November. Hours are
from 11 a.m. to noon in room 316 of the East Union, and noon to 1 p.m. in
the lower level of the Culture Center; and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the
main test site in room 164 of the University Health Center.

 6. Flu Shot Clinics Begin Oct. 24

The UHC will be holding flu shot clinics for UNL students, faculty and
staff with the first clinic scheduled for Oct. 24. Flu vaccinations
cost $20 and payment by cash or check is required at the time of the
vaccination. For those with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, a claim
will be filed for them by UHC staff for possible reimbursement (bring
your insurance information with you to the clinic), however you will
still need to pay at time of shot. To expedite the process, the forms
you need to fill out for your vaccination are available on-line at
the website listed below. Flu vaccinations are also available by
appointment at UHC for those unable to attend a clinic. A complete

 7. Volunteers Wanted

The University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union is currently seeking

 8. Limited Submission - The Japan Foundation

The Japan Foundation has announced a limited submission with a deadline
of Dec. 3. Each applicant may apply for only one Exhibitions Abroad
Support grant in any given year. If you are interested in applying, visit

11. Celebrate Credit Union's 70th Anniversary Oct. 22

Come celebrate the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union's evolution

14. Origins of Plants that Sustain Life Topic of Olson Seminar

UNL agronomist P. Stephen Baenziger will present the 17th Paul A.
Olson Seminar in Great Plains Studies, "Global Treasures: The Origins
of Plants that Sustain Life," at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Great Plains
Art Museum, 1155 Q St., Hewit Place. Baenziger, the Eugene W. Price
distinguished professor of agronomy and horticulture, will discuss how -
even with the current interest in buying and eating locally grown food -
few people understand the origins of the foods that sustain them, how
they shaped our history and how they continue to shape modern life. The
seminar and 3 p.m. reception are free and open to the public.

The Chancellor's University Safety Committee (CUSC) biennial Safety Fair

16. Fourth Annual Women in Business Benefit Oct. 24

The fourth annual Women in Business Benefit, "Professionalism with Style,"
hosted by the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship and Students in Free
Enterprise, will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Oct. 24 at Embassy Suites.
A fashion and tradeshow will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a banquet with
keynote speaker, Sue Outson of Olsson Association. This will be followed
at 7:30 p.m. with networking opportunities with community business leaders.

33. Sheldon hosts lecture by Enrique Martínez Celaya

Enrique Martínez Celaya, painter, sculptor and writer, will speak at
5:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in  Sheldon's Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium about his
contemporary artwork. Celaya is a visiting Presidential Professor at
the University of Nebraska, and his highly celebrated work is exhibited
and a part of museum collections around the world.
