 1. WORKWELL Winning With Wellness Incentive Program

UNL Campus Rec Centers is hosting WORKWELL Winning With Wellness incentive
program for the entire UNL campus Sept. 30 to Oct. 31. Participants earn
easy points through participation in wellness activities, including fitness,
nutrition, and smoking cessation programs, and are eligible to win great
prizes.The program is open to all UNL employees and their families and
departmental teams are encouraged. Fee is only $1 per participant and
registration can be completed at the Campus Rec Center or EC Activities
Building. Furthermore, all participants who are currently not a member of the
UNL Campus Rec Centers will receive a free one-month membership for October.

 2. Libraries Computer System Upgrade Sept. 13

Due to a computer upgrade, UNL Libraries online catalog will be down
Sept. 13. This will affect access to the online catalog, E-Resources, Course
Reserves, Interlibrary Loan, My Library, and RefWorks. Proxy access from off
campus will be also be affected. Alternative links to these databases, indexes,
and other E-Resources will be available for use from on campus only. UNL
Libraries will remain open and you will be able to check out library materials.

 3. Monthly Tornado Systems Test

UNL will join Lincoln/Lancaster County Emergency Management in testing all
tornado-warning systems the first Wednesday of each month. The test will
occur at 10:15 a.m. and will last approximately 10 minutes. If you have

 6. Jr. Blackshirts Youth Program

Registration for the 2007 Jr. Blackshirts season is open at UNL Campus
Recreation. Jr. Blackshirts is a youth program that offers recreational
activities in a child care setting for children ages 2-12 years during
Husker home football games (while their parents/guardians attend the
game). Pre-registration is required and the price is $20 per child per
game. Registration is due Monday prior to the home game. For more

present "Chronic Wasting Disease in Wisconsin: Lessons Learned," at

17. 3rd Annual Legal Diversity Summit Sept. 14

The 3rd Annual Legal Diversity Summit will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sept. 14 in the Doubletree Hotel in Omaha. This summit is an annual event
organized by the Nebraska State Bar Association, Nebraska Supreme Court,
and the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center. It is designed to
promote diversity in Nebraska's legal profession. This event will include

22. Student documentary premieres at The Ross Sept. 6

The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center will present the premiere of
the documentary film "Breaking Down Barriers" at 7 p.m. Sept. 6. The
film will be followed by a student panel discussion of their news magazine,
"Renovating the Republic." Both projects come from an international depth
reporting class that traveled to Berlin in January. All events are free
and open to the public. Depth reporting documentaries and news magazines
have won recognition from the Student Academy Awards and have been
nominated for student Pulitzer Prizes.

The East Campus Choir, a decades long tradition, has recently been revived

Nebraska residents, as well as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and former
Nebraska governor Mike Johanns, will be among the citizens and policy
makers featured on "A Public Voice 2007: Energy," airing at 12:30 p.m.
Sept. 2 on NET1 Channel 12. The hour-long program looks at energy issues
