UNL's tornado warning system is generally tested the first Wednesday of every month. For April only, this test will occur during the second week in conjunction with Severe Weather Awareness Week. Such a drill may cause disruption to classes and work. However, with severe and dangerous weather being common to Nebraska, they want to be diligent to test the systems, which support a safe environment for our campus. To order new tornado posters for buildings, contact Colleen Huls via email at chuls1@unl.edu. When ordering posters, provide the building name and the number of posters needing printed for that building.
