 1. No campus mail delivery/pickup on Nov. 27 and 28
There will be no campus mail delivery/pickup on Thursday and Friday, Nov.
27 and 28, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Regular campus mail service
will resume on Dec. 1.

 2. MyUNL/Blackboard Closedown and Version 8 Changes
Your My.UNL team will be upgrading the Blackboard software to version 8 over
the holiday closedown in December. My.UNL will not be available from Dec. 27
through Jan. 2. The latest Blackboard release builds on the student engagement
tools in earlier releases, and improves the performance of the software. Most
noticeably, the Gradebook has been transformed into the Grade Center.
Instructors will be able to enter scores more efficiently, select specific
display types, freeze names for easier scrolling, and drop lowest/highest scores.
The new Grade Center will also allow faculty to print progress reports and
access powerful analysis tools. Go to the Web site listed below and look in the

The University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union will be closed Nov. 27, in

 6. Annual Scholarship Contest - Top Prize $1,200
The University of Nebraska Credit Union and The Lincoln Chapter of Credit
Unions is sponsoring a scholarship contest for credit union members who are
high school seniors and college or trade school students who will be either
full or part-time students for the academic year 2009/2010. Contestants are
asked to write a short research paper that answers the question - "Why My
Accounts are Secure at the Credit Union." Entries must be postmarked by
