Get on the Children's Center Waiting List UNL's new Children's Center will open August 2009 in the north annex of the Whittier building at 22 and W, serving children 6 weeks to 5 years of age during the academic year. Offerings are full time care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, with part time care available for preschoolers, and a summer camp for children ages 5-8. Hours will be from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, year-round. There are now over 250 names on the waiting list with only 182 spots available. On April 20 names will be drawn for ranked order, and director Tish Roland will contact each family in the order drawn to obtain a spot in Children's Center. Summary of 2007-2008 Assessment Activity The Office of Undergraduate Studies now has a report summarizing under- graduate program assessment activity during the 2007-2008 academic year on the Web site listed below. New Fulldome Show at Mueller Planetarium Explores Cosmic Origins Beginning April 2, the fulldome show "In Search of our Cosmic Origins" will be shown at Mueller Planetarium at 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Go on a journey through distant galaxies and the Chilean desert to discover how astronomers are continuing Galileo's quest to understand our place in the Cosmos with the ALMA project.
