New Location for UNL Benefits Office To enhance operating efficiency, the UNL Human Resources Benefits Office has moved to Room 32 of Canfield Administration Building. Information Services System Testing On May 10 and 12, Information Services will be performing a system fail over test of both Network Services and System applications. Users may experience brief outages during these times. On May 10 9 to 11 a.m. the test will include Network Services (DNS, LDAP, DHCP and email routing). On May 12 at 6 p.m. the test will include Lotus Notes, Frontier, UNL Serve and NSave. Libraries' Computing Resources Maintenance May 10 The Libraries will perform computer maintenance from 6 a.m. to noon on May 10. Faculty Sought for Peer Review of Teaching Project How does one document, make visible, and assess the careful, difficult, and intentional scholarly work entailed in planning and teaching a course? The UNL Peer Review of Teaching project is seeking faculty to participate in next year's (2009-2010) project where you will learn how to document your teaching and involve you in discussions of student learning and assessment. Each participant receives a $1000 stipend. High School Astronomy Camp: Observing the Night Sky High School Astronomy Camp: Observing the Night Sky will be offered from July 12 to 18. This is the 7th summer an astronomy camp has been offered at UNL. Their goal is to expose high school students to astronomy in the hope that they will consider pursuing a career in science. Campers will attend classes to discuss questions related to night sky observations during the day and participate in research projects, with telescopes and CCDs, related to them at night. Limited Submission - Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation has announced a limited submission for the Beckman Young Investigators Program.
