 2. Beware of "Phishing"
The start of a semester is a prime time for Universities to be besieged
with email scams, commonly known as "phishing." These emails are sent to
users under the guise of confirming an email account and requesting
personal information, passwords, etc. Do not respond to these emails. You
will never be asked by UNL to confirm passwords via email. UNL Information
Services makes every effort to prevent phishing emails from entering UNL's
email gateways, and can often block them once they are reported. If you
have questions or are suspicious about an email you receive, check the
phishing Web site at:

industry.
