Mail and Distribution Holiday Closedown Processing UNL Mail and Distribution will be open 6 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 29 and 30. Mail will be delivered to designated campus sites from 8 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 30. A list of these designated City and East campus sites is available at the Web site shown below. Faculty and staff in buildings not listed can pick up mail at 1100 N. 17th St., west dock, between 7:30 and 11 a.m. Dec. 29 and 30. An NCard must be presented. Off-campus mail, excluding single-piece mail, will be processed by prior arrangement only during the shutdown. Regular campus mail service resumes Jan. 4. Limited Submission - Institute of Museum and Library Services The deadline for the Institute of Museum and Library Services, 21st Century Museum Professionals is March 15. A parent organization that controls multiple museums that are not autonomous but are otherwise eligible may submit only one application per grant program. If you are interested in developing a proposal, complete a Notification of Intent to Submit no later than Jan. 11. COBRE Internal Competition - Request for Proposals The Office of Research has announced the COBRE (Centers for Biomedical Research Excellence) internal competition. The goal of this program is to strengthen an institution's biomedical research infrastructure through establishment of a thematic multi-disciplinary centers, and to enhance the ability of investigators to compete independently for complementary NIH individual research grants or other external support. The Office of Research will select the proposal to go toward for full development and submission to NIH. Deadline for proposals is noon, March 31. Additional 'Holiday Music Magic' Shows at Planetarium Dec. 28-30 Mueller Planetarium at Morrill Hall will have additional showings of "Holiday Music Magic: The Fulldome Experience" over the holidays. This new show featuring a variety of holiday music classics will be presented at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and at 2 and 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through Jan. 10, with additional 2 p.m. showings Dec. 28, 29 and 30. Note: Morrill Hall and Mueller Planetarium will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1.
