Limited Submission - NSF Instrumentation for Materials Research The application deadline for the NSF Instrumentation for Materials Research - Major Instrumentation Projects (IMR-MIP) is June 21. An institution may submit at most one IMR-MIP proposal in a given year, whether for Research and Development, Conceptual and Engineering Design, or for Construction. Potential applicants must complete a two-step process in to be considered for selection as UNL's proposal. First, interested faculty must submit an on-line Notice of Intent to Submit form by April 12. Then, interested faculty must submit a UNL pre-proposal by May 7.
