E-News Ending May 11 E-News will be going away and be replaced by a new electronic newsletter, Today@UNL. Final E-News submissions will be received up to May 10 and delivered May 11. The new Today@UNL submission site will replace the E-News site during the week of May 17 and announcements and news submissions for faculty/staff news will then need to be entered on that new site. My.UNL Blackboard Maintenance MyUNL/Blackboard will be unavailable Saturday, May 15 from 12:01 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Midnight. Information Services will be applying a service pack from Blackboard to improve performance. All Blackboard courses from the Spring 2007 term will be deleted from the servers during this time. City plans road work on Y Street May 10-June 10 City of Lincoln, with federal funds, plans an improvement project for Y Street, from 18th to 27th streets, involving milling and overlaying the surface and replacing curbs. This will affect traffic May 10-June 10 in that vicinity. ************************************************************************* 4. No Open House at Inventory May 12th and 19th There will be no open house at Inventory on May 12 and 19 because of preparation for the auction on May 22. Campus Rec Center closed May 10-16 The City Campus Rec Center will be closed to all activities May 10 to May 16 for annual maintenance work. UHC Pharmacy Relocation May 13-August 9 The UHC Pharmacy will be remodeling its space this summer and will relocate to the lower level of the UHC, room 15, beginning May 13 through August 9, 2010. The UHC Pharmacy will close at noon on Thursday, May 13 to accommodate the move, reopening at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 14. Classroom "Clickers" To Change in Sixteen Months A new Personal Response System (PRS) will be implemented in General Purpose classrooms for the Fall 2011 semester. A committee of faculty and technology specialists recently reviewed feature sets, past experiences and vendor offerings. The current eInstruction InterwritePRS system will continue to be fully supported through Spring 2011, and will be upgraded to the newest version this summer. Leveraging Online Pedagogy and Tools Cohort Learn how online tools can enhance student learning in a new online cohort program.
