UHC Announces Seasonal Flu Shot Clinics Walk-in flu shot clinics for the seasonal flu will be held at the University Health Center (UHC) and the East Campus Union beginning Oct. 2. Flu vaccinations are $20 and payment by cash or check is required at the time of vaccination. For those with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, a claim will be filed by UHC staff for possible reimbursement, however, you will still need to pay at the time of injection. Don't forget to bring your BCBS ID number. No appointment is necessary for the walk-in clinics; seasonal flu vaccinations are also available by appointment at the UHC by calling 472-5000. Firefly ID Conversion On Sept. 26/27 your current Firefly Login ID will change to your eight digit NU ID number. Your eight digit NU ID number is located on your red N card in the white box. This change will only affect your Firefly Login ID. Your password will not change. New Year - An All New My.UNL During the 2009 Holiday break, My.UNL.edu will upgrade to the Blackboard Learn Version 9 platform. New Global Gateway Program To create more opportunities within the UNL curriculum for students to engage the world, the Chancellor has announced the UNL Global Gateway Program. Global Gateway is a new initiative, funded by the NU Foundation, designed to promote and enhance global competency among students and faculty at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Honorary Degrees - Call for Nominations The Honorary Degree Committee is seeking nominations for honorary degrees to be awarded during the 2010-2011 academic year. This includes both nationally and internationally renowned persons with a tie to UNL and/or Nebraska and similarly distinguished persons without such ties.
