Campus Wide Teaching Award Nominations

A reminder that the deadline for campus wide teaching award nominations to be
submitted to the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is
February 2. Nomination forms and information on the awards are available at:

Changes in USAID Policies

Changes in policies and programs are coming from an historically important
partner and funding source, the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Dr. Felipe Manteiga, the new Director of the Office of Agriculture and Food
Security, USAID, will speak on those changes at the East Campus Union on
December 8, Friday, at noon.

Donaldson and Oldt Award Nominations Sought by UAAD

The University Association for Administrative Development (UAAD) is calling
for nominations for the Carl A. Donaldson Award and the Floyd S. Oldt Award.
The nominations deadline for both is Jan. 12, 2001.

Culture Center Celebrates Kwanzaa

On December 1, from 5:30p.m., the Culture Center, in Collaboration with the
Afrikan Peoples Union, will present a celebration of Kwanzaa at the Culture
Center Upper Multipurpose Room. The celebration will feature slide presentation
of the early African American families in the Lincoln area, including the Trago
family.

Truman Scholarship Competition

The Truman Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students who have an
outstanding potential for leadership in government and public service. UNL can
nominate up to four candidates who must initially compete in the campus
competition. The deadline for the campus competition is January 8, 2001.
Interested students should submit an application form.
