Jacqueline H. Harris received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May 2015, with specializations in Interdisciplinary Nineteenth-Century Studies and Women's & Gender Studies. She worked as a Lecturer for the University's English and Women's & Gender Studies Departments, and is now a Visiting Faculty member at Brigham Young University in Idaho. Her dissertation, "The Buried Life of the Facts of Life: Female Physical Development in Nineteenth-Century British Coming-of-Age Literature," examined evidence of female adolescent maturation within Victorian-era texts.
