Film Studies

"After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May 2011 with a B.A. in English and Film Studies I spent some time volunteering at the Nebraska State Historical Society with Paul Eisloeffel, who is the Curator of Audiovisual Collections. There I worked with home movies and ephemeral or sponsored films, and I spent most of the time cleaning, repairing, and creating more detailed records of the collection.

"I moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to start in the Moving Image Archive Studies Masters program at UCLA. During my time there I had the opportunity to intern at places such as Western Costume Company, where I worked with their costume archive, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science Film Archive, where I helped to inventory home movies that were on deposit from the Japanese American National Museum. I was also a work study student for the publicity department at UCLA Film & Television Archive for the two years, and I had an internship at the Archive, where I helped inventory new acquisitions.

"I received my M.A. in June 2015, and am a Film Curator at UCLA Film & Television Archive."
