  • 4/864: Restoration and eighteenth century literature.
  • 964: seminar in eighteenth century literature (sometimes focuses on major authors such as Pope, Swift, Johnson, but seminar can also focus on novelists, especially the gothic novelists, from mid-eighteenth century into early 19th century).

Approach: history-of-ideas but always with main focus on works themselves; critical theory is secondary.
