SPECTRUM Queer Poetry Slam tonight at 7pm

The university's LGBTQA student group, SPECTRUM, advised by lecturers Brie Owen and Robert Lipscomb, is holding a Queer Poetry Slam to raise funds to travel to The Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally College Conference at Purdue University this coming spring. This conference is the largest LGBTQ college conference in the nation and helps our students bring back programming and activist work to our campus at UNL. The fundraiser will take place today, January 25, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Crescent Moon Coffeeshop in Downtown Lincoln.

Stacey Waite will be reading poetry with Omaha slam poet and National Poetry Slam Competitor, Ben Wenzl, and several UNL undergraduate poets. There will be a raffle! Please come out and support these students if you can! And if you can't come to the event, but want to help their cause, feel free to give donations of any amount at all to Robert or Brie!
