The Department of English offers scholarships to undergraduate English majors. These scholarship opportunities are in addition to the scholarships and grants available through the College of Arts & Sciences and the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid. The scholarship process is competitive and need-based. Scholarships range from $500 to $1500 and are applied to students' accounts for the academic year by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
The application requires that students have a current FAFSA on file with the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid and that students have completed the Current Undergraduate Student Application (http://www.unl.edu/scholfa/). Additionally, students must submit a Degree Audit Report (DARS available on MyRed under "UNL Records") and a one page narrative that summarizes the applicant's undergraduate experience and aspirations for the future.
For more information, please contact Kelly Payne, Chief Academic Advisor, Department of English, 402-472-3870, firstname.lastname@example.org.
To apply, complete and submit the application form by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013.
