Pound Howard Award Procedures

MATERIALS TO BE SUBMITTED BY THE NOMINATOR

FOR THE

LOUISE POUND-GEORGE HOWARD AWARD

 

ALL NOMINATIONS MUST INCLUDE ONE COPY OF THE FOLLOWING: 

1.         Letters from nominator and seconder summarizing and giving examples of the nominee's teaching, research, public service or administrative activities and their impact on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; nominee's service and contributions through campus, state, regional, national and international committees, boards, organizations, conferences and societies; documented achievements, honors, awards; personal background, education, positions/experiences; and any other information which indicates the scope of the nominee's teaching, research, public service or administrative contributions.

             These letters and supporting materials should clearly indicate the significance of the individual's contributions.  No faculty member should act as nominator or seconder for more than one nominee.

 2.         A chronological bibliography with an indication as to which articles are published in refereed or scholarly journals and which are popular writings.

 3.         At least five (5) letters of recommendation from peers inside and five (5) outside the home unit of the individual at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, indicating the nominee's contributions.

 4.         A brief synopsis of the nominee's qualifications and career.  This synopsis should be no longer than one-half page of single-spaced typing.  It will be used as copy for the Faculty Senate ballot.
