Allison Holdsworth

Allison Holdsworth

Hi! My name is Allison Holdsworth, and I am currently a junior Bachelor of Fine Arts student. My emphasis is drawing and painting. Beginning this year I am getting more involved in the extra-curricular activities that the Hixson-Lied College has to offer. Not only am I excited to serve on the Undergraduate Student Advisory Board for the first time this semester, but I am also enjoying being a Student Ambassador and participating in UCARE with a painting professor. All of these opportunities are allowing me to grow exponentially as an artist and as a professional. As I continue to learn through these programs I am also able to make my own small contribution back to the Hixson-Lied College of Fine Arts.
Audrey Koch

Audrey Koch

Audrey Koch is a sophomore going for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art - though she is unsure what emphasis she wants therein. She loves sequential art and illustration, and what she wants to do with her life pertains to these interests: her heart is set on becoming a graphic novelist, dabbling in the comic book industry, and illustrating children's books. Very simply, she wants her art to tell stories because along with being an artist at heart, she is a storyteller.
Kathleen Rohrig

Kathleen Rohrig

My name is Kathleen Rohrig, and I am a third-year Art Major. When choosing to come to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I had a few concerns with what my choice of study all entailed. Art is such a broad and wonderful major! My expectations were quickly fulfilled and exceeded. With the knowledgeable staff and interesting projects, I realized I had made the perfect choice in UNL as the place to pursue my career as a Graphic Designer. The last two years have flown by. And if asked to put all I have learned into writing, the pure amount is impeccable. I used to call Friend, Nebraska, home. Now Lincoln and its wonderful University have welcomed me into their close-knit community, and I have to admit it's pretty cozy here.
Corinne Wardian

Corinne Wardian

I am a junior Art History and International Studies major with a minor in Human Rights and Diversity. I not only love learning about art and artists, but I love to create art at the same time. My favorite medium is watercolor and acrylic paint. This is my second year serving on the Student Advisory Board, and last year I also served as the Fine and Performing Arts Senator with ASUN. I enjoy serving my fellow students and University. The University is a melting pot of opportunities waiting for us to take and it's up to us to make the most of our experience. So far I feel that I have.

Emily Martinez

Hi, my name is Emily Martinez and I am a sophomore at the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film with a double major in Theatre Performance and Theatre Management. I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska, but I have fallen in love with Lincoln and all it has to offer! My freshman year I was involved in four shows (one of which I got a taste of stage combat!), and I also acted in the first Carson School Film Project, "Vipers in the Grass. " The students and professors I have met here at UNL have pushed me to learn and grow more than I truly thought possible. I feel at home here and I promise if you give it a chance, we will welcome you with open arms!

Danielle Dixon

Hello. My name is Danielle Dixon, and I am a senior oboe performance major, with minors in psychology, chemistry, and biochemistry. Since I was a kid, I have been very interested in chemistry and how things work. I always thought I would be a chemical engineer, but found that my love for music was much more compelling. I enjoy learning about how we perceive music, and the theories we use to describe it. I am currently a member of the UNL Symphony Orchestra, the UNL Wind Ensemble, and am active in chamber music. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at UNL, and am glad to be giving back to the students in the Hixson-Lied College.
Ben Reimer

Ben Reimer

Hi, my name is Ben Reimer and I am a Junior Music Education student in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts. At the moment, my career track is to graduate with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and to go on further into graduate studies in the field of Music Theory or Music History. Music was not my first choice in college (I was an Actuarial Science Major my Freshman year) but music is what I've grown to embrace and chose to study and work with. I enjoy performing and I am proud to be a part of both operas this year. I've learned so much from all of my professors and, moreover, their guidance has helped me not only through my academic life but also my life outside of school as well. I look forward to working on the Student Advisory Board to help others and contribute back to a University that's given me so much.
