Giacomo M. Oliva, Professor of Music and Dean of the Hixson-Lied
College of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln, has also served as Director of the School
of Music at the University of Florida, as Head of the Department
of Music at Mississippi State University, as Director of
Music for the Leonia, New Jersey Public Schools, and as
an instrumental and vocal music teacher at all levels in

ROBERT FOUGHT, ASSOCIATE
DEAN
Dr. Fought received his undergraduate and doctorate degrees
from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Music
degree from Northwestern University. He studied band performance
techniques with John Paynter and James Dunlop, and he is a
former saxophone student of Frederick Hemke. Previous positions
include Director of Bands and Chairman of the Wind and Percussion
Department at Syracuse University, with earlier teaching experience
at Evanston (Illinois) Township High School and Adams State
College in Colorado. More...
