Lincoln, Neb. - The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Clay Club and the Lincoln Print Group will each host their Annual Spring Art Sales both on Friday, April 30th from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday, May 1st from 9 am to 5 pm. Both sales will be held in Richards Hall on the UNL city campus, across the parking lot from the football stadium. The print sale will be in room 121 with the ceramics sale in room 118. Don’t miss you chance to meet the artists at an informal reception Saturday morning from 10 am to 12 pm. The Clay Club will also have a kiln opening at 10 am Saturday with new work available.
The sales will include works of art created by graduate students, undergraduate students, alumni, and faculty. The ceramics sale, as always, will showcase functional pottery, vessels, and sculpture. Both sales represent a broad range of aesthetics, techniques and concepts and the high quality and diversity in these sales ensures something for all tastes.
In addition to the sale, there will be a raffle of work donated by students, faculty, and alumni. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased on Friday or Saturday. The drawing will be held at 5pm on Saturday; need not be present to win.
The UNL Clay Club and the Lincoln Print Group each use a portion of the proceeds from their sales to fund visiting artist programs, which invite nationally recognized artists and critics to deliver lectures and workshops that are free and open to the public. Proceeds from the sales are also used to facilitate student attendance at annual professional conferences.
Cash or checks accepted (separate checks required for each artist).
