Lincoln, Neb. - Thomas F. DeFrantz will deliver a free public lecture prior to the performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. The lecture, titled "Dancing Revelations: Alvin Ailey's American Dance Theatre," will be presented Tuesday, March 8th from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Van Brunt Visitors Center, Q and 13th streets.

Dr. DeFrantz organized the dance history program at the Alvin Ailey School in New York for many years. His book, Dancing Revelations: Alvin Ailey's Embodiment of African American Culture (2004), will be available for sale at the event.

Light refreshments will be provided.
