University of Nebraska Brass Quintet to perform with United States Army Band

Lincoln, Neb. - The University of Nebraska-Lincoln School of Music in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts proudly presents the University of Nebraska Brass Quintet in concert with the "Pershing's Own" United States Army Band on Sunday, January 30 as part of the United States Army Tuba/Euphonium conference.

The quintet will perform a work they commissioned in 2009 titled Copernicus (Concerto Grosso for Quintet and Wind Ensemble) by Juraj Filas.

The concert will be in Bruckner Hall at Fort Meyer, Virginia. Member of the University of Nebraska Brass Quintet are Darryl White and K. Craig Bircher, trumpets, Alan Mattingly, horn, Scott Anderson, trombone, and Craig Fuller, tuba.
