| PRIVATE STUDIOS TOUR OF DEPARTMENT OF ART AND ART HISTORY
FACULTY ARTISTS IS MAY 6 AND 13 Lincoln, Neb.-The private studios of 12 Lincoln artists, including three members of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Art and Art History faculty, will be open to the public on May 6 and 13, as a unique fund-raiser for the Haydon Art Center. The public will have the opportunity to view work in progress in printmaking, sculpture, painting, encaustic, ceramics, photography and jewelry. ''''''' Cather Professor of Art Keith Jacobshagen's studio at 4041 Calvert St., and Professor of Art Gail Kendall's studio at 3200 Van Dorn St., will be open on Saturday, May 6, from 1-5pm. Associate Professor of Art Dana Fritz's studio at 5600 A St. will be open on Saturday, May 13, from 1-5pm. ''''''' Other participating artists include Paula Day, Deon Bahr, Craig Roper and Sydney Lynch, Larry Gawel, Kate Brooke, Margaret Berry, Nadine McHenry, and Joey Lynch. '''''' 'This is an amazing opportunity to see the studios of some of our top creative UNL art faculty and alumni-Gail Kendall, Keith Jacobshagen, Dana Fritz, Kate Brooke, Paula Day, Craig Roper-who are generously opening their studios, so we can see their creative space and surroundings, and imagine their inspirations. This can satisfy some curiosity about what makes these artists 'tick.' How inspiring for young artists and for everyone,' said Cather Professor of Art Karen Kunc, who serves as Chair of the Artists Committee for the Friends of Haydon Board.
