Admission as an International Student
Transfers: If you are now enrolled at another U.S. school, your SEVIS record must be released to UNL.
- We send your Certificate of Graduate Admission to you.
- You contact your current International Student Advisor and request a transfer to UNL.
- Your International Student Advisor releases your SEVIS record to UNL.
- We create a new Form I-20 and send it to you.
When we offer admission, we send a UNL Certificate of Graduate Admission to the address that the applicant indicated on his or her application. Your admission packet will include a Form I-20 or Form DS-2019, if you have told us that you plan to hold an F-1 or J-1 visa.
If you are not currently in the U.S., take the I-20 or DS-2019 to the U.S. Embassy where you will apply for a visa.
