The vast majority of UNL's graduate assistantships are teaching and research assistantships, which are not posted on this page. Administrative assistantships are a very small subset.

Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication: Educational Media

Mobile Developer
Accepting applications until position is filled.
This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position beginning in January 2012. This student will build and maintain mobile apps for iOS and Android.
  • Required: Working knowledge of at least one of the following: iOS SDK, Android SDK, Phone Gap, Actionscript 3. Applicants must provide samples/examples of applications/code for review.
  • Preferred: Background in object-oriented programming languages.
  • Preferred: Background in Agriculture, Natural Science, Nutrition, or related areas.

Graduate Assistant
Accepting applications until position is filled; seeking an immediate hire.
Seeking a responsible and experienced graduate student to review, analyze and modify Java, PHP, and/or ASP.Net web applications. Candidates must be available to work 20 hours per week on a regular basis. Tuition and health benefits are included.

Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support our software applications.
  • Resolving technical issues through debugging and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience in developing applications with one or more of the languages listed above
  • Knowledge of object oriented design.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to work in a small team environment.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SQL, HTML, Javascript and/or CSS is a plus.
