Description of Program

The doctoral program offered by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering is a unified program where students can select a specialization. Upon completion of the program students will receive a Doctor of Philosophy in engineering with a specialization in construction. Within this specialization the student can qualify for an engineering or management path leading to the Doctor of Philosophy degree. The construction program is offered on both the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and University of Nebraska at Omaha campus. The campuses are approximately 50 miles apart.

The program offers coursework in drafting and engineering graphics, estimating and scheduling, electrical systems, and building structural and mechanical systems. Students on both campuses work closely with faculty and with professionals working in the field and industry.
