Description of Program

The Master of Engineering is a professional practice-oriented advanced degree offered by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering. This non-thesis program provides a student with a broad-based technical education in a selected area of study, also known as a concentration.

Each student must select one of the following areas of concentration: architectural engineering, engineering management, telecommunications engineering, or construction. For instance, the Master of Engineering with a concentration in construction offers a unique blend of courses in construction, business and law. The program is geared towards individuals who wish to pursue advanced studies in construction with an emphasis on construction applications.

This program is designed for individuals with at least one degree in engineering or significant engineering practice and a degree in a related field. It is not intended to prepare graduates for doctoral-level studies in engineering. Students can earn a Master of Engineering with a concentration in engineering management online.
