Description of Program

The doctoral program offered by the College of Engineering is a unified program with various participating fields. Students receive a Ph.D. in engineering with an area of specialization. For more information about individual programs, consult the individual graduate program summaries.

The College of Engineering also hosts eight research centers: Center for Communication and Information Science, Center for Electro-Optics, Center for Ergonomics and Safety Research, Center for Infrastructure Research, Center for Laser-Analytical Studies of Trace Gas Dynamics, Center for Microelectronic and Optical Materials Research, Center for Nontraditional Manufacturing Research, and Rapid Manufacturing Center.
