Non-Degree Nebraska Teachers

Eligibility

Eligibility for non-degree admission through the Teach Nebraska program requires BOTH:
  1. certification as a teacher in the state of Nebraska
  2. current employment by a school in the state of Nebraska
If you do not meet the above criteria, follow the steps for standard non-degree admission.

These are the steps for an application for the Teach Nebraska program, which entails non-degree admission for Nebraska teachers who are interested in taking classes without being in a degree program.

Non-degree admission through Teach Nebraska allows students to:
  • Obtain graduate credit for career advancement
  • Fulfill prerequisites for degree programs
  • Explore graduate programs
  1. Submission of Teach Nebraska Application

    The Teach Nebraska application form is available on the Teach Nebraska website.

  2. Graduate Studies Review

    Your file will be reviewed by an admissions evaluator. You will be contacted if additional information is needed by Graduate Studies.

    Allow 1 to 2 business days for this step.
  3. Admission

    When you are admitted, Graduate Studies will notify you by email and also mail your Certificate of Admission.

    • If you listed courses on your Teach Nebraska application, you will be registered for those courses. Otherwise you can register for classes through What About Me (WAM).
    • Refer to Teach Nebraska's list of select classes for teachers or the Graduate Bulletin for all course descriptions.
    • Consult the Schedule of Classes for times and locations.
