Parking

Parking is free with a parking pass from your department or the Office of Graduate Studies.
  • The pass enables you to park in campus lots designated A or C. See parking maps for City Campus and East Campus.
  • Place the pass on your dashboard so it's visible through the windshield.
  • Arrange your visit in advance and your parking pass can be mailed to you. Wait until the last minute and you'll have to pick up your parking pass.
  • Arrange your visit later and you'll need to pick up your pass on the day of your visit. If picking up a parking permit from Graduate Studies, follow 17th Street to Vine. Turn left on Vine and then left on 16th Street. Turn right on U Street and park momentarily along U Street.
For shorter appointments, you may prefer to park in one of the metered areas surrounding campus.
  • Several metered spaces are available along 16th Street and S Street.
  • Be sure to find a meter which will allow enough time for your appointment (meters range from 10 to 90 minutes) and to bring quarters and dimes to plug your meter (nickels are not accepted).
