At Nebraska, the power of support means you can count on us to provide the resources you need to be successful as a graduate student.
We know that having adequate financial support is key to being able to afford graduate study, which is why we provide financial assistance to over 80 percent of our full-time students. Many teaching assistantships are awarded by academic departments, but we also provide a centralized listing of available administrative assistantships.
Our assistantship packages not only include a monthly stipend, but also tuition remission and 79 percent of your health insurance premium, including dental and pharmacy coverage. We also offer many fellowships and have staff available to assist you in applying for external funding.
Our support extends to your professional development. At Nebraska, you have the opportunity to participate in programs which help you to develop your teaching, learn how to write grants, and prepare for the job search after you complete your degree.
You'll find support from our Graduate Student Association, which offers a place to network and to have a voice in improving graduate education on campus.
