Dr. Barry Rosson

Associate Dean of Graduate Studies

Dr. Barry Rosson joined the UNL faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering in 1991 and began work in the Office of Graduate Studies as Associate Dean in July 2004. Dr. Rosson is a Professor of Civil Engineering. Prior to working in the Office of Graduate Studies, he was the Director of Graduate Studies for the College of Engineering & Technology and Associate Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering.

Dr. Rosson's research interests are in the development of innovative direct time integration methods for dynamic structural analysis and new analytical techniques for predicting the nonlinear response of structures and materials to alternating load and collapse conditions.

He completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at Texas A&M University in 1983 and 1985, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. in structural engineering at Auburn University in 1991.
