Social hour at Yia Yia's Pizza - Friday, Aug 22. 7-9 PM.
1423 0 Street. GSA will buy Pizza! Come meet the GSA Executive Committee (Look for our Bright Yellow GSA T-Shirts!) This is a great chance for new students to quiz returning students about what's fun in Lincoln.
Ice Cream Social & Hyde Memorial Observatory - Saturday Aug 30. 7:30pm - Dusk
Graduate students and their families are invited. Meet at Homes Lake Park, near the observatory. Take Holmes South Shore Rd off of S. 70th St. Follow the signs to the observatory.

Basketball at the Rec with Subs and Pepsi — Wednesday, January 30, 6:00-8:00 PM
We'll be playing basketball at the City Campus Recreation Center. There will be free sub sandwiches and Pepsi. We'll have competitive and casual games going.
Dancing at Sur Tango — Thursday, February 14, 9:00 PM-12:00 AM
Celebrate Valentine's Day with all your grad student buddies at Sur Tango (1228 P St.)! Dance the night away to salsa, merengue, and bachata music. Not confident of your salsa moves? No problem, lessons start at 9pm and cost $5. General admission starts at 10pm and only costs $1.
Board Game Night with Pizza — Monday, February 25, 7:00-9:00 PM
What better way to chill out before midterms than playing board games with fellow grad students! Bring your favorite board game to the Village Clubhouse (1055 N 16th Street). We'll have pizza and other snacks.
We'll be bowling up a storm at Lanes 'N' Games in the East Campus Union (37th and Fair). If bowling is not your thing, you can come hang out and enjoy free Pepsi products. To get there, students can take the campus bus or park at the meters.
Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW) — Monday, March 31 - Saturday, April 5
There will be various activities throughout the week. This year's events included comedian Jorge Cham, free massages, kickball against the faculty and much more.
Social Hour at Yia Yia's — Thursday, April 24, 5:00-7:30 PM
Please join us for our last GSA event of the year! We'll be having free pizza at Yia Yia's (1423 O Street). You'll be able to recognize us by our cool yellow t-shirts.
Join other graduate students to watch and discuss films that address issues of diversity. The topics will vary, so be on the lookout for the event posting! Hosted by the GSA Diversity Committee.

Social hour at Brewsky's — Tuesday, August 21, 4:00-6:00 PM
Come join us at Brewsky's in the Haymarket (201 N. 8th Street) for free appetizers (up to $250) while you meet and chat with fellow graduate students. We will be in Brewsky's basement. Brewsky's has half-price drinks and appetizers on Tuesday nights.
Potluck Picnic at Holmes Park & Lake — Saturday, August 25, 12:00 PM (noon)
Join us for end of the summer potluck fun. We'll be at Holmes Park (70th & Van Dorn) on North Shore Road, near the playground. It's a potluck event, so bring some food to share with others.
Stop by for happy hour at The Watering Hole at 1321 O Street.
Bowling Night — Thursday, September 27, 6:00-8:00 PM

GSA needs a new logo and we want you to be a part of this process! You have the opportunity to express your creative and artistic abilities! The winning logo will be featured on the brand new GSA letterhead, regalia and other GSA materials! We are offering $300 to the graduate student who comes up with the best logo for the UNL Graduate Student Association. Preference will be given to entries that are consistent with the "unified look" of the other university logos, but also incorporate the mission of the Graduate Student Association. All submissions must be received by Friday, October 12th, 2007 and the winning logo will be announced at the January 2008 Legislative Assembly meeting.
