Frequently Asked Questions and Concerns about the University Health Center
Will I receive adequate care at the UHC?
The UHC is fully accredited by the American College Health Association and Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. In a recent 2006-2007 patient satisfaction survey, 92.3% of respondants were satisfied or more than satisfied with the care they received at the UHC. Our clinic is staffed by three medical doctors, two certified physician assistants, one doctor of osteopathy, and a team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified medical assistants.
Will I have to wait a long time for my appointment?
While it is true that during the transition to the computerized system there was a longer wait for appointments, since then wait time has been reduced dramatically. 87.6% of respondants during the 2006-2007 patient satisfaction survey, said that they either had no wait or that they had less than a 15 minute wait. Transitioning to the computerized records system caused a longer wait time for a season, but has subsequently allowed for a much more efficient check-in process allowing for mush shorter wait times.
