Patient Assistance

- If you don't have prescription coverage and can't afford your medications, help is available

Patient assistance programs are run by pharmaceutical companies. These programs help patients who qualify receive medication free of charge or at a reduced rate. Qualifications vary from company to company, but most are based on income and lack of prescription coverage.

The Health Center offers enrollment assistance at no charge. Call 472-5000 for more information.

  • www.needymeds.com - NeedyMeds is an information source similar to the Yellow Pages.
  • www.rxassist.org - RxAssist offers a comprehensive database of patient assistance programs, as well as practical tools, news, and articles so that health care professionals and patients can find the information they need.
  • www.pparx.org - Through this site, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance offers a single point of access to more than 475 public and private patient assistance programs, including more than 180 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies. To access the Partnership for Prescription Assistance by phone, you can call toll-free, 1-888-4PPA-NOW (1-888-477-2669).
