Confidentiality
All records at the University of Nebraska are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Any student 18 or older attending a Post Secondary Institution of Higher Education is covered under FERPA.
The University Health Center (UHC) adheres to the guidelines mandated by FERPA in regards to releasing student records including medical and billing information. Like with other University records, the UHC must have consent from the student before any information can be released to you, the parent. Your student may contact Health Information Services at the UHC to obtain a release to disclose.
