Offense: DUI with BAC under .15
Description: Driving with BAC between .08 and .15 (first offense)
Penalty: Straight sentence: $400-$500 fine, 7-60 days in jail, 6 month license suspension.
Probation: 60 day revocation of drivers license, 9 month no alcohol, urine testing, alcohol education or treatment, etc.

Offense:DUI Law (July 2006)
Description: Driving with BAC over .15 (first offense)
Penalty: 1 yr license revocation, 7-60 days in jail, $500 fine
Probation: 1 yr license revocation, 2 days in jail or 120 hours Community Service, 1 yr no alcohol, random urine tests, education or treatment, $500 fine.
Offense:Nebraska Minor in Possession (MIP) / Consumption (MIC) Law
Description: No one under the age of 21 may possess, consume or have physical control of alcohol. Recently, "consumption" was added to the law, meaning that having alcohol in your body is another form of possession.
Exemption: A minor under 21 may possess or consume alcohol in his/her permanent place of residence. However, recent court cases have not granted on-campus living units or apartments such status.
Penalty: Straight sentence Up to $500 fine and 3 months in jail.
Probation: Penalties and requirements vary.
