- Training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Opportunity to assist fellow students with minor physical and emotional needs

- Leadership role on campus
- Academic credit - 1st year Health Aides attend a two-semester peer health education class (NUTR 230); 2nd year Health Aides attend a one-semester class
- Monthly stipend - Health Aides are employed by the UHC and are covered under the UHC's liability insurance
- Full-time UNL student
- Good academic standing
- Commitment to serve in the Program for the entire academic year
- Must live on campus to serve in residence halls or Greek houses; may live off campus to serve in Unions.
