Whether pursuing a health-related degree or not, the experience, knowledge and skills Health Aides gain will last a lifetime.

Benefits Include:
  • Training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Opportunity to assist fellow students with minor physical and emotional needs
  • Enhanced knowledge of healthcare
  • Leadership role on campus
  • Academic credit - 1st year Health Aides attend a two-semester peer health education class (NUTR 230); 2nd year Health Aides attend a one-semester class
  • Monthly stipend - Health Aides are employed by the UHC and are covered under the UHC's liability insurance
Requirements to Apply
  • Full-time UNL student
  • Good academic standing
  • Commitment to serve in the Program for the entire academic year
  • Must live on campus to serve in residence halls or Greek houses; may live off campus to serve in Unions.
