The ASTP costs $85. You must pay for the class before you can register.
How do I sign up?
You register in person at the University Health Center. As you come in the front door, you will see the business office to your left. Pay there. You can put the charge on your student account if you wish. You will get a receipt. Bring it and your smiling face downstairs to the Community Health Education office. We will sign you up for a class, do the remaining paperwork and answer any questions you have.
Is the class confidential?
Yes. No information is released to anyone, including parents, without your written consent. This includes the completion letter to the person who referred you. Your completion letter simply says you were there and you completed the requirements. Files are kept in locked cabinets. Students in each class are expected to respect each other's privacy.
Who leads the classes?
ASTP is co-facilitated by students in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program. They are supervised by faculty.
What is expected of me?
You must be on time and attend both sessions. If you aren't, you must sign up for another class and pay the fee a second time. Ouch! You are also expected to participate in discussions, be nice and come with an open mind. You paid for it, so get your money's worth.
