What is intensive outpatient treatment?
Intensive Outpatient is for people who are experiencing repeated alcohol/drug abuse problems and show indications of alcohol/drug dependence. Programs consist of individual and group therapy, education and family meetings. The program runs 3 to 4 times per week, and typically meet for a minimum of 18 hours for 6 to 8 weeks. The program may include group and individual therapy, and usually is followed by aftercare sessions.What is residential treatment?
Residential or Inpatient treatment is for individuals who are alcohol/drug dependent and do not have a living environment that is conducive to their recovery. People live and receive treatment at the facility. Average length of program is 15-45 days followed by aftercare sessions.How do I select the right treatment program?
In Lincoln, a completed substance abuse evaluation is required before you can be accepted into a treatment program. The evaluation will recommend the type or level of treatment that best matches the seriousness of the problem. Then it's up to you to pick a program from those providing the level of treatment recommended for you. Several things need to be considered. Do you have health insurance that will pay for treatment?If not, do you need a program that has a sliding fee scale based on your income or a program that will allow you to make payments.
