Student Advisory Board

Apply now to be a part of the University Health Center Student Advisory Board! Fill out this application and turn it in at the ASUN office in the Nebraska Union by April 14th.
The purpose of the University Health Center Student Advisory Board (UHCSAB) shall be to represent the student body dealing with the health concerns of the University community, by identifying health related problems, and by making recommendations to the University Health Center (UHC) staff and University Administration for the delivery of comprehensive health care. The Board shall assist in planning, evaluation and implementation of policies and programs of the UHC.

Committee Responsibilities:


The Internal Liaison Committee is responsible for coordinating a dialogue between the UHC staff and UHCSAB members. The committee members serve as the primary link between the Health Center and the students.

The Programming Committee is responsible for organizing any social activities that the Board is involved in and also assists with new member orientation.

The Publicity Committee is responsible for promotion of all activities, the health fair, and other projects that the board is involved in.


History:


The University Health Center Student Advisory Board was formed in 1992 and has strived to provide a running dialogue between the student body and Health Center administration since that date. In the past five years, the Board has been increasingly active in researching and relating student concerns. The Board has also expanded its activities, participating in Homecoming, various Health Fairs, National Student Health Conventions, and more recently through the development of student focus groups.
